New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Brendan James' full-length debut recording, 'The Day Is Brave' (Decca/Velour) placed in the top ten on Billboard's Heatseekers chart during its first week. 'The Day is Brave' reached as high as No 5 overall on the iTunes Top Pop Albums chart (beating out the likes of Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz and Leona Lewis) and received a rare, perfect five-star rating from fans. His new single " Green" also debuted in the No 1 spot on iTunes Folk Chart. Brendan was also a featured artist on MySpace as well as in iTunes' 'What's Hot' and 'Staff Favorites' sections. This chart success comes on the heels of Brendan's selection by Entertainment Weekly as a singer-songwriter "on the rise" and Perez Hilton's glowing feature of Brendan's song "Green" on his heavily trafficked site ("We love Brendan James!" says Perez). EW raved that he is "for fans of confessional acoustics, a la James Taylor, Grant Lee Phillips, or even an XY-chromosomed Colbie Caillat, topped with nougaty piano flourishes." Brendan's successful debut week was highlighted with a packed record release show at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. He is currently in the midst of his first national tour.
