NEW YORK (Brad Official/Pearl Jam Fans Websites) - Guitarist Stone Gossard will pull double duty when his band Brad opens for his other band Pearl Jam on December 8 and 9 at the Seattle Key Arena. Gossard talked about what it was like to split time and songs between Pearl Jam and Brad: "I really don't make that distinction in my mind. I just sort of write songs," he said. "I don't think about that stuff too much. You never know how a song is going to turn out or how a band's going to play it. If I'm just bringing in a guitar riff, until someone puts a vocal on it, it doesn't really have any real significance until somebody sings it and, sort of, believes in it." Gossard added, "If I'm working on Brad stuff I'll throw out whatever kind of riff I think kind of seems to the be the one that might be enticing to these guys and if they like it we'll play it and if they don't like it, I'll move on and play a different one." Steve Earle will also be on the bill on December 8, and Mudhoney will be an additional opening act on December 9. The two shows at the Key Arena will raise proceeds for Voters For Choice, Red Feather Development Group, Northwest School, Blue Mountain Clinic, West Memphis Three Legal Defense Fund, Youth Care, Arts Corps, Seattle Center Arts Academy, Northwest Literacy Foundation, Concerned United Birthparents, Conservation International, Home Alive, and The Vera Project.
