Phoenix, AZ. (Top40 Charts/ Rhino Records) - Sam Moore best known as the trademarkable lead voice of the most successful and critically acclaimed duo in Soul Music history, Sam & Dave (1961-1981), will join legendary rockers ZZ Top to close out the upcoming NBC special with an electrifying performance of 'I Thank You.'

The special was taped at Camp Pendleton in conjunction with shows in Iraq and Ft. Benning, Georgia. The three shows combined will form 'America United: In Support of our Troops,' which will air as a two-hour primetime special on NBC from 7-9 pm on Sunday, June 1st

Moore is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame (for 'Soul Man') and a Grammy Award and a multi-Gold and Platinum record award winning recording artist. Moore also has achieved a distinguished 25 year career as a solo artist. He also paired with the late Conway Twitty to record the classic 'Rainy Night In Georgia' for the classic Rhythm, Country and Blues Album, appeared as The Reverend Morris in Blues Brothers 2000 playing opposite James Brown's character, a 'Swanky Mode' in Tapeheads and was featured prominently in the documentary 'Only The Strong Survive'.

Moore's most recent release, 'Overnight Sensational' (Rhino) won him and his guests Billy Preston, Eric Clapton, Robert Randoph and Zucchero a 2007 Grammy nomination for the Preston penned 'You Are So Beautiful To Me,' produced by Randy Jackson.
That critically acclaimed album included appearances by many more artist friends and fans of Sam's including Wynonna, Travis Tritt, Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Fantasia, Vince Gill, Mariah Carey, Billy Gibbons, Steve Winwood and nearly 20 other guest stars.
