NEW YORK (Jay-Z Fans Website) -
Superstar rapper
Jay-Z recently launched a tour unlike his previous tours - the rapper will spend the road trek visiting numerous schools as the "principal for a day" and then performing at small venues in the evenings. As part of his visits,
Jay-Z will perform the daily duties of the principal, including addressing the student body and holding an open forum at one school in each of the 12 cities he is scheduled to visit.
The schools that Jay-Z visits will be determined by a spirit contest conducted by a local radio station in each market. In the evenings, Jay-Z will perform for approximately 300 people at small venues--those in attendance will include contest winners as well as fans who are able to purchase one of a limited number of tickets available at select retailers.
Jay-Z released his latest album, The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse, on Tuesday (November 12). The set is a double-album priced like a regular release, and it includes guest appearances by Lenny Kravitz, M.O.P., Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Beyonce Knowles, Scarface, Faith Evans, Notorious B.I.G., and OutKast.
