ATLANTA (Law Cases Website) - A trial date has been set for Nov. 25 in Dekalb County, Ga., State Court for R&B singer Bobby Brown, who has been wanted there on a slew of traffic charges stemming back to 1996, according to a spokesperson for the court.

Brown was originally arrested in April of 1996 after he was pulled over for drunk driving on Buford Highway in Atlanta, where he and wife Whitney Houston keep a home. He was charged with Driving Under the Influence, no proof of insurance, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding. Brown skipped out on a 1997 court date to answer charges and has been wanted on those charges - and failure to appear in court - ever since.

Of course, all of this came to light last week when Brown was again arrested in Atlanta for alleged traffic violations in neighboring Fulton County. Brown was nailed for speeding, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, and having no driver's license or proof of insurance. The singer posted bail and was immediately transferred to Dekalb County to answer the outstanding warrant.
Judge Wayne Purdom also ordered the former New Edition star not to leave the state before his trial date.
