New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Nation Beat, purveyors of party-starting Afro-Brazilian beats and blistering bayou funk, will bring a taste of Carnaval to DROM in NYC on May 30. They'll be performing music from their upcoming album 'Legends of the Preacher', out July 15 on Modiba Records.

In March, the band played their first date at the chic subterranean venue and had the entire room dancing to the music- even those who were sitting at tables. Check out their performance of the Hank Williams classic 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' from that performance here.

'Legends of the Preacher,' the band's sophomore disc, establishes the insanely rhythmic 'maracatu' style of Afro-Brazilian music alongside samba and bossa nova as one of Brazil's most exciting musical exports to America. The disc also features three groundbreaking collaborations between Nation Beat and Grammy-winners The Klezmatics.

Who: Nation Beat
What: Music from 'Legends of the Preacher'
When: Friday, May 30 @ 10pm
Where: DROM - 85 Ave. A btw. 5th and 6th, NYC
