NEW YORK, NY. (Columbia Records) - Lyfe Change, the new album from Lyfe Jennings, marks the artist's second straight No 1 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums Chart, a feat he first accomplished in August 2006 with the release of his sophomore collection, The Phoenix. Lyfe's latest album includes the hit "Never Never Land," currently at No 14 as it climbs the Urban Adult Chart, as well as "Brand New" featuring T.I., and the beautiful love song "Midnight Train," guaranteed to pierce anyone's heart.

In Billboard's review of Lyfe Change, music critic Mariel Concepcion wrote: "Like its two predecessors, Lyfe Change features his staple heartfelt love songs ('Never, Never Land,' 'Midnight Train') and uplifting tracks ('Warriors'). The big...changes this time around are the production tactics... . Still, songs like 'It's Real,' where Jennings rhymes over thumping drums like his 2007 hit 'S.E.X.,' remind us why his sound didn't need much tweaking in the first place."

"Lyfe's success is due to having an amazing ability to connect with his female audience through his lyrics and melodies," said Music World Entertainment's Mathew Knowles. "Lyfe has a keen sense of the business of music, works extremely hard and is open to suggestions of improvement."

It's been an amazing road for Lyfe, who developed the gritty and soulful vision displayed on his debut album LYFE 268-192 while serving a ten-year sentence in prison. Within weeks of his release from prison in 2002, Lyfe was performing on-stage at Harlem's legendary Apollo Theater and receiving reviews from notable music critics such as The Source who wrote, "Bringing only an acoustic guitar to the hallowed 125th Street venue, Lyfe won over the notoriously demanding Apollo crowd and dominated the Amateur Show competition, winning five straight times." Rolling Stone found Lyfe's songs "eloquent in their depiction of struggle" while the edgy New York taste-making YRB found his music "filled with a genuine rawness reminiscent of Sam Cooke or Donny Hathaway."

He's since gone on to establish himself as an aesthetic force of nature with mainstream and underground support. His incredibly raw talent and ability to own the stage was proven during his highly successful 2006 headline tour "The Lyfe Experience." Lyfe is scheduled to give his fans a powerful concert experience this summer as he embarks on a twenty city tour.
