LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ EL TRI Official Website) - Mexican rock legend EL TRI/Alex Lora pioneering force in the Latin American rock music world - is poised to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its founding, will reveal at a press conference on Tuesday April 29, 2008 his plans leading up to this important date.

Mexican Rock legend Alex Lora undoubtedly is a Latin American rock legend, pioneer of Mexican Rock el leader of the band 'EL TRI'. A true Mexican icon who to date has three statues erected in his honor two of them in Mexico and one in Lynwood California.

Over the past 40 years, Alex Lora has had a monumental influence on Latin rock music whether it whether it be in the United States, Mexico, South America and Central America, he is a driving force and is - the voice of the people- sharing with them their struggles against repression, social political views through each of his songs.

To celebrate his 40th anniversary EL TRI will reveal a series of events that will lead up to an incredible celebration in the United States including a concert at on October 25 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

Boasting an incredible discography of 42 albums, having shared the stage with music legends The Rolling Stones, Sammy Hagar, The Ramones, Clearwater Revival, The Cult to name only a few, EL TRI is a living legend, who has set many concert records in the United States and Latin America, while earning various Latin GRAMMY and numerous recognitions, highlighting the date 'November 10' which has become Alex Lora Day in Guadalajara Mexico.

Originally from the Mexican state of Puebla where he has previously received a special recognition, now in the United Status a similar recognition will be bestowed on him on May 3rd in Lynwood, California by the 'Union De Poblanos En El Exterior' (Union of Puebla Citizens in the Exterior) this celebration will be accompanied by a free concert featuring EL TRI at the renowned Plaza Mexico. In addition, Alex Lora has also received the keys to the city of Miami.

The anecdotes are innumerable, the recognitions & accomplishments are countless in EL TRI's career, 40 years may sound easy but inside exists the history of Mexican rock & in great depths that of Latin American rock in general.
