Sara Bareilles Lands No1 Song In America!

Today, Sara Bareilles owns the No 1 song in the country with her smash hit single 'Love Song,' - making her the first solo female artist to climb to the top rung at Pop radio with a debut single since 2004. But that's not all. 'Love Song' also holds the No 1 spot at Hot AC, a spot of which it has remained for five weeks in a row.

In the nine months since Sara released her debut album, Little Voice - she has emerged as one of the biggest breakthrough female artists of the year. The single's jump to No 1 is amplified by news that on April 9th in Los Angeles, Sara will be awarded the ASCAP Vanguard Award - which is given in recognition of the impact of musical genres that help shape the future of American music - at the association's twenty-fifth annual Pop Music Awards.
