MADISON, WIS. (Top40 Charts/ Sony Creative Software) - Sony Creative Software, a leading provider of professional video, audio and music production applications, today announced the launch of Black Paint: Indie Rock Anthems, a new royalty-free loop library featuring the eager and endearing sounds of the indie rock genre. The Black Paint collection is now shipping to subscribers to the new Sony Creative Software subscription program and will be widely available on April 15, 2008.

'Indie rock remains a popular genre, but its sounds are very difficult to source when trying to create your own loop-based music,' said Dave Chaimson, vice president of global marketing for Sony Creative Software. 'We're pleased to offer Black Paint as our first subscription library so that musicians and sound designers can channel the rough, raw spirit of indie rock with the same ease of use that characterizes the entire Sony Sound Series library.'

Black Paint is a construction kit loop library founded on the time-tested rock band backline: twin guitars, bass, and drums. Tight, authentic and rough around the edges, Black Paint captures the spirit of indie rock and provides energetic beats and hooks for musicians and producers. Black Paint's creator, Brian Daly, is a musician, sound designer, and studio owner deeply rooted in the indie rock community. In addition to his past and present production and editing work for Sony, Daly is a member of indie rock band Sunshine for the Blind, making him the ideal producer for breathing life into a title of this genre. As with all Sony Creative Software titles, Black Paint: Indie Rock Anthems performs to its fullest potential within Sony's own ACID line of music creation software, but can also be used on any music production platform that supports the .wav file format.

Sony's subscription program is an affordable way for music producers to receive new titles in a variety of genres—a month in advance of public release, throughout the year. The subscriber's package includes: 12 Standard Collection libraries delivered over a 12-month period, with signup bonuses including two free loop library titles from the Classic Collection tier and an exclusive DVD loaded with 500 loops and 50 royalty-free ACID software starter projects, packaged in a special tin commemorating the 10th anniversary of ACID software and loop libraries. Enrollment is ongoing until May 1, 2008. Pricing for the subscription is US $349.95, which represents a savings of more than 50 percent off list price in addition to the signup incentive items.

Price and Availability
Black Paint: Indie Rock Anthems is now available for US $59.95 (MSRP). For more information on Black Paint or any other Sony Creative Software loop library collections and leading audio or video editing solutions, please visit www.sonycreativesoftware.com.
