SYDNEY, Australia (Top40 Charts/ EMI Australia) - Operator Please continue to take the world by storm as they sign a record deal with AVEX, Japan's biggest record label, while currently promoting their upcoming UK album release and European tour.

AVEX is also home to the Arctic Monkeys and the MD of the AVEX label Tearbridge, Risa Uzushiri said, "We are pleased to work with Operator Please! We will GET WHAT YOU WANT!". AVEX will release the album in August following a May tour.

Japan has always been the source of a huge amount of web traffic via the band's MySpace site and website since the band first went online in 2006. Their recent November tour to Tokyo saw them perform a sold-out show and hundreds of kids knew all the words to the songs. It was their first visit to Japan and the suitcase of CDs and T-shirts they took sold out before the band even went onstage!

Operator Please are currently in the UK promoting their album which is due for a UK release on March 17. 'Yes Yes Vindictive' is released in Europe on March 21 and the band have shows lined up in France - joining hotly tipped UK outfit Foals – with three dates already sold out. They will then headline shows in Italy, Germany and The Netherlands throughout March, with some gigs on this tour already sold out.

Back home in Australia Operator Please's new single 'Leave It Alone' was released on Saturday both digitally and on CD. 'Leave It Alone' is the third single from their acclaimed debut album 'Yes Yes Vindictive' and includes the New Young Pony Club remix and a band poster. It follows the ARIA Award winning 'Just A Song About Ping Pong' and second single 'Get What You Want'.

The band have also been featured in the BigPond 'Hot Emerging Artist' campaign throughout January and February, and their performance on Nigel Godrich's show From The Basement – alongside PJ Harvey and Super Furry Animals - is currently airing on MAX.
