LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Edi Video) - To paraphrase the title of Carl Tanner's stunning and critically acclaimed debut CD as a solo recording artist, the world renowned operatic tenor has been "hearing the angel voices" that told him to pursue a singing career all his life-it just took him a few extra years to get the message.

Tanner only began pursuing the dream-which led to his extraordinary rise to fame starring in classic operas around the globe since the early 90s-when he gave up the "average Joe" life as a truck driver and bounty hunter and allowed himself to not only Hear The Angel Voices but to become one, as well.

Over the years, Tanner has proven that a singer need not have an Italian last name like "Pavarotti" or "Bocelli" to be a great opera or pop classical singer-we have tremendous operatic talent right here in America. This robust tenor has starred in a variety of leading roles in major opera houses, including Pagliacci in La Monnaie, Brussels, "Cavaradossi" in the Minnesota Orchestra production of Tosca, and Radames (alongside soprano Angela Brown) in Opera Pacific's Aida.

"My goal in creating Hear The Angel Voices," Tanner says, "was to make a Christmas CD that included songs that everyone knows and others that few people have heard. I have very strong feelings about the music of Christmas."

Tanner's future beyond Christmas 2007 is as vibrant as his optimistic vocals on the CD. Booked solid in operas and performing engagements through 2010, there are plans for a TV special in the works and he hopes to be in the studio next February to create his first ever album of favorite arias. After that, he is contemplating a pop-opera crossover album.

Looking ahead, Carl is scheduled to perform 'O Holy Night' at the Vatican next year as the first non-Catholic ever invited to do so. He was also recently invited by Zubin Mehta to sing "Nessum Dorma" at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
