NEW YORK (Jammy Awards) - John Scofield, DJ Logic, and members of the Dave Matthews Band, the Black Crowes, the Roots, and Galactic have signed on to perform at the 2002 Jammy Awards on Oct. 2 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.

The band members are Stefan Lessard (DMB), Andy Hess (the Crowes), Stanton Moore (Galactic), and Scratch (the Roots). The Jammys, in its third year now, pair different musicians together for onstage jams and collaborations, instead of going the usual awards show route by having various bands play in their entirety.

Previously announced pairings for the show include Bog Weir of the Grateful Dead with Ratdog (Weir gets this year's Lifetime Achievement Award), Phish's Mike Gordon with guitarist Leo Kottke, the Allman Brothers Warren Haynes with his other band Gov't Mule, the B-52's Fred Schneider and Kate Pierson with Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club's Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz.

Other acts on the bill include Rusted Root, moe., the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Particle, and Robert Randolph & the Family Band.
