LOS ANGELES (Janet Jackson Fans Website) - Janet Jackson has recorded a song for the soundtrack of the film version of Chicago. The film stars Catherine Zeta Jones, Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere. The song, which hasn't yet got a name, is expected to be Jackson's next single. Miramax president of motion picture music Randy Spendlove told: "Janet Jackson was a perfect choice for this soundtrack because this is a dance-oriented movie. "The song will reflect the spirit of the film." Janet Jackson will have the lead off single on the soundtrack to "Chicago," the Hollywood screen adaptation of the hit stage musical. The idea of bringing Chicago to the screen has been in the works for 20 years. In 1987, Madonna was even in talks to take on a lead role.
