AVRev To Give Away The 'Top 100 Rock Albums Of All Time' On October 2007

From now until October 31, 2007, anyone over 18 years of age can log on to AVRev.com and click the "Top 100 Rock Albums of All Time" link and enter to win these 100 compact discs. Rather than pick albums based purely on emotional impact and popularity, AVRev.com's panel of judges used a mathematical system to establish scores in various categories such as Performance, Songs and Songwriting, Sound, Production, and more. The AVRev.com judges narrowed down their list of the top 100 albums of all time from a list of about 200 suggested titles. Classic rock staples like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Pink Floyd all fared well while many critical darlings such as Bob Dylan, Radiohead and Nirvana missed the top 100 cut.

"Artists such as Simon and Garfunkel have written some amazing songs but were plagued by production quality. The thin sound of the album Bridge Over Troubled Water kept it from making the top 100. Lyle Lovett's Joshua Judges Ruth cracked the top 100 thanks to incredible production and sound quality. Albums such as Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland and Are You Experienced?
