Beck & Flaming Lips Kick Off Tour Oct. 17

NEW YORK (Beck Fans Website) - Beck has announced the first leg of his tour behind Sea Change, his new album due out Sept. 24.

The Flaming Lips will go out on the road with Beck, to serve as his opening act and backing band. The two-week jaunt will play theatres throughout the Midwest and East Coast, beginning in Minneapolis on Oct. 17.

A second leg of dates will be added, but no shows have been confirmed. All confirmed dates will be posted on Beck-online.com. Tickets for several shows will go on sale this weekend, including Chicago and Detroit. Tickets for the Chicago show will be sold through a special Internet pre-sale (https://tickets.artistdirect.com/beck) tomorrow.
