NEW YORK (3 Doors Down Fans Website) - 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was found not guilty on misdemeanor assault charges in Jackson County, Miss., Justice Court on Thursday (Aug. 8), according to a spokesperson for the court. The charges stemmed from a complaint filed by Terry Alexander, who alleged Harrell attacked him at a party at the former's home when the bassist discovered he was being secretly taped. Alexander alleged he lost seven teeth in the incident, and received several stitches in his lip. He had claimed the tape recorder was to help him with his failing memory. The court, however, ruled in favor of Harrell. 3 Doors Down's sophomore effort, Away from the Sun - the follow-up to its multiplatinum debut The Better Life - is due Nov. 12 on Republic/Universal Records.
