WASHINGTON, DC. (Top40 Charts/ XM Satellite Radio) - GRAMMY-winning multi-platinum-selling artist Ludacris kicks off a new season of his original XM Radio show, "Disturbing Tha Peace Presents: Ludacris' Open Mic," on September 8, it was announced today by XM. Hosted by Ludacris and long-time radio partner Poon Daddy, the new season of "Open Mic" will continue to feature music hand-selected by the artist, including songs from Ludacris' vast personal music collection, as well as special guests and interviews with other artists. The season premiere of "Ludacris' Open Mic" will air Saturday, September 8 at 6 p.m. ET on XM's uncut hip-hop channel, "RAW" (XM 66).

"My show on XM is the most entertaining hour of radio, period! And it only gets better with time," said Ludacris.

Born Christopher Bridges, multi-platinum hip-hop recording artist Ludacris is one of the most recognized names in popular music today. A former radio personality from Atlanta with an impressive knowledge of music, Ludacris has enjoyed enormous success since his major-label debut in 2000 and his music has been embraced by urban media outlets, as well as MTV and pop radio. Beyond his own work as a recording artist, Ludacris is CEO of Disturbing Tha Peace Records, which is home to some of the top-selling artists in R&B and Hip Hop, selling more than 15 million records.

In addition to his music career, Ludacris has branched out into acting, including his upcoming roll in the holiday comedy Fred Claus, scheduled for release this fall. His previous film work includes a standout performance in the independent release Hustle and Flow, winner of the Sundance Audience Award, and the critically acclaimed film Crash, which earned him a Supporting Actor nomination at the First Annual Black Movie Awards. A committed philanthropist, Ludacris is also dedicated to giving back to the community through his Ludacris Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps young people and fosters economic development in local areas.

New episodes of "Ludacris' Open Mic" air Saturdays at 6 p.m. ET on XM 66, with additional encores at 10 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 8 a.m. ET. More information about XM's exclusive music programming is available online at https://www.xmradio.com.
