JACKSONVILLE, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Emtro Gospel) - Pastor Rudolph McKissick (of Jacksonville, FL's Bethel Baptist Institutional Church) and the Word & Worship Mass Choir have been spreading their original worship experience across the nation for the past five years. They are now back on the charts with a new single entitled 'Magnify' – the first single from their fourth CD/DVD project, 'Intimate Worship' (Emtro Gospel) which releases August 28, 2007 nationwide. True to the Word and Worship tradition, 'Intimate Worship' features an incredibly diverse selection of live music, from the first single 'Magnify,' a universal praise and worship number, to the edgy and urban 'Set Me Free.' Several new additions to the Word and Worship style set this CD up to be their best yet. First, it captures congregational worship like few other albums have before. As various songs on the recording come to an end, the listener is allowed a rare glimpse into a deeper mode of worship. The congregation begins to sing and praise while the tape continues to roll. Second, featured voices within the choir are allowed to shine. All solos on the album are performed by Word and Worship choir members. You'll also hear a lot more from McKissick on 'Intimate Worship.' 'What makes Word and Worship unique is our ability to sing a diverse collection of songs and to present singable worship music,' says the choir's dynamic leader. 'Over 100 voices come together and sound like a small ensemble.' Technical ability, however, is not the only thing that sets the Word and Worship Mass Choir apart. Their worship has had a deep and lasting impact on their home church of Bethel, a very traditional congregation that is nearly 170 years old. They have taken the 'Bethel Experience,' a term that has come to describe the church's diverse and exuberant worship style, and have broadened the appeal of this experience even further.
