DJ ETRAIN - DJ ETRAIN was born in Jamaica Queens, New York. He fell in love with music as a way to escape poverty. After graduating high school he entered the military. He continued his love for music and he is currently working on his second Masters Degree in Business Administration. His persistent drive to enter the music industry led to applying for the A&R position at several record labels. After being denied this role he decided to go independent. The artist needs to be heard and with his networking skills and creating opportunities for numerous artists, he has been given several titles such as "The Indie's DJ", and "The Conductor". You can find him anywhere working hard for the artist.
MEL GATES - Anyone walking down the streets of Coney Island's projects in Brooklyn, New York has experienced the rap phenomenon of none other than - Mel Gates. Mel Gates got involved in the rap game at the age of 16 years old while serving a two to six year prison sentence in some of the more infamous prisons in the state of New York. A broken home, no father figure, drug addict mother, and high school drop out, are all too familiar life battles to Mel. After leaving home at the tender age of thirteen to become a slave to the mean streets of New York City, Mel began hustling to make ends meet and support the broken family he left behind. While serving his six-year prison sentence, Mel began to turn his life around. He enrolled in a GED preparatory class that resulted in him earning his GED. But Mel would not stop there, he also began dabbling with words and makeshift beats. Soon he was battling his fellow inmates and earned the name, Mel Gates.
In 2001, Mel became a principle member of AMR Entertainment Music Group, an independent record label based in Brooklyn, New York. He recently released his self-proclaimed mix tape entitled, "Son of a Gangsta". Currently, he is credited as co-writer and executive producer of an upcoming film entitled, "The Building" that has a scheduled release date for the Fall of 2007. While Mel's past is very unfortunate, he has no regrets for the choices that he has made. They have only attributed to his street credibility and hardcore style of rap. Not only is Mel able to flow at random, but he can battle with the best of them.
Singles are in rotation by DJs at the radio stations/clubs here in the USA and abroad, including several past and upcoming mixtape projects.
