NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Wetpaint) - fuse, the national music television network, launched a music artist wiki site at www.wiki.fuse.tv, enabling fans to post facts, opinions, photos, videos, and personal notes about their favorite artists. Unlike other wiki sites, this technology, developed by Wetpaint, the consumer-friendly wiki for collaborating and publishing online, is more user-friendly and allows visitors to post more than just facts. In addition to exclusive content provided by fuse, including artist interviews, video and photos, visitors will be able to check-in on their favorite bands, show off their knowledge and connect with other like-minded fans. The site initially launched with user-generated content about Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Gym Class Heroes, among others. "The fuse artist wiki continues to strengthen our commitment to both music and musicians, and creates another touch-point with our fans," said Beth Lewand, VP Digital Media, fuse. "This site is dynamic, interactive and designed for the way people use the web today, ensuring that our audience has access to the most up-to-date detailed artist information created by their peers." The site will appeal to both serious and casual music fans. Casual fans can log on to find out the latest information on their favorite bands and hard-core fans can demonstrate their knowledge and connect with others who are equally passionate about their favorite bands. The site will be monitored by fuse, and fans must be 13 or older to post content. Future business opportunities for the wiki site include integrated partnerships and promotions with music companies, labels and advertisers.
