REDWOOD CITY, CA. (Top40 Charts/ HipSolve Media) - HipSolve Media today launched JamGate, a Web-based application that gives professional musicians and record labels 'hands on control' over online sales and distribution of their music without the costly commissions charged by other services.

'With JamGate, the artist becomes a distributor,' said HipSolve Media CEO Jack Foster III. 'MySpace, SnoCap, and iTunes take weeks or months to pay, they charge hefty commissions and you never know who's buying, making it impossible to build long term relationships with individual buyers. JamGate eliminates all these problems by allowing growth of your very own music distribution channel.'

JamGate is a software application. Musicians use the system to control their visual presentation, pricing and are paid immediately when a customer buys a song or album. JamGate is different because the platform itself belongs to the content owner, therefore business experimentation is allowed, unlike other services like Tunecore or IODA that act as middlemen. JamGate is never a party to any sales transactions between artists and their fans.

'This is your own privately branded music business, not ours,' said JamGate co-founder and senior vice president Trent Gardner. 'Understanding you can operate as you see fit' is vital. Posting a live performance or a riff you made up fifteen minutes before and making it available - at whatever price you want - are basic features JamGate makes possible. Getting paid immediately without third parties is fun. You don't need our permission to make a change.'

JamGate includes a control panel to manage virtual record labels with multiple artists and royalties, offer special incentives to repeat customers, customization of look and feel and many more vital features not available from standard online distribution providers. JamGate costs 99 cents for the first month and $19.95 monthly after that. JamGate staff is available to help first-time users with set up.

The JamGate Music Business System includes:
* Support of domestic and non-U.S. based artists/content owners
* One click PayPal Pro integration for immediate payments
* MP3's (no DRM) at 320k resolution
* Highest and fastest (immediate) payout in industry
* Artists monetize own website, emphasizing other distributors second
* OEM versions available for major publishers
* Desktop tools to remove 'heavy lifting' and handle content ingestion
* Supports sales of both digital and physical products

HipSolve also announced it will soon incorporate advanced viral marketing techniques under the direct control of clients. JamGate users will enable and motivate their fans to share music with friends by automatically segmenting and targeting music lovers based on behavioral parameters.
