ARLINGTON, VA. (Top40 Charts/ USO) - Rapper Paul Wall, known in music circles as "The People's Champ," will soon depart for the Persian Gulf as part of a USO/Multi National Corps - Iraq entertainment tour. This is Wall's second USO tour, having performed in the region as part of "Jamie Kennedy's Hip-Hop Comedy Tour" in early 2007. Skilled in the art of wordplay and inspired by the legendary DJ Screw, Wall emerged onto the national circuit following his appearance in Mike Jones' 2005 hit single "Still Trippin." Since his debut, Wall has had multiple hit singles including "Sittin' Sidewayz" featuring Big Pokey, "Break 'Em Off" featuring Lil' Keke and "I'm Throwed" featuring Jermaine Dupri. "Being a part of a USO tour and performing for the troops is amazing," said Wall. "It's so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and to forget what's happening overseas - this is my way of letting them know I realize what they're sacrificing and am truly grateful." Regarded as having one of the most distinctive and charismatic voices from the 'dirty south,' Wall is an accomplished DJ and is busy promoting his sophomore album, "Get Money, Stay True." He is also co-owner of TV Jewelry, a lucrative business that specializes in designing gold and diamond encrusted mouth grills, and caters to celebrity clientele. For more than 66 years, the USO's mission has remained the same: to support U.S. troops and their families wherever they serve - until every one comes home. Carrying on this tradition, the USO produced 346 entertainment tours in 2006, both stateside and overseas, to boost morale and ensure service members that America cares about them. AT&T, Inc. is the official telecommunications sponsor of USO entertainment tours. For a list of recent and upcoming USO tours, visit https://www.uso.org/whatwedo/entertainment/.
