(Top40 Charts/ V2 Music) - Hot on the heals of recent Single, Benefit Show (For South Yorkshire Flood Victims on Aug 4th) and other live announcements, LMT today announced they are to play a show at the legendary 3500 capacity Empress Ballroom in Blackpool and will also give the fans chance to download two free songs via NME.com. One of the best, if not the best venue in the country, Empress Ballroom has played host to some of the most memorable shows in music history and was the scene of The Stone Roses final leap into the international spotlight as well as more recently being the venue of choice for The White Stripes 'Under Blackpool Lights' DVD. As a nod to that seminal Roses moment, former Bassist with the band and now Bass player for the Primals, Gary 'Mani' Mounfield will DJ at the event as a special guest of Little Man Tate and yet more special guests are to be announced on the bill in the near future. Blackpool is fast becoming one of the bands best loved towns in the UK as it was also the place where they filmed their first ever video for debut full release What? What You Got ……a video which captured the very 'essence' of Blackpool in a 3 minute clip and was subsequently banned for a time by MTV. As an added bonus to the announcement of this superb show, Little Man Tate also decided that as a thank you for the phenomenal support the fans have shown them - they are to give away 2 Exclusive Tracks via download on NME.com. Fans of the band can head straight to NME.com to get their hands on the tracks 'Trouble With Detox' and 'Suicide Tuesday' which will be available on Weds 18th July. Tickets for the Empress Ballroom show go on sale at 9am Friday 20th July. In other live news: Having supported the Stereophonics on two of their recent shows, the Welsh rockers have invited the Tate boys back to play with them at their iTunes Festival show at London's ICA on July 20th. This show along with their European Lovers shows in Paris and Amsterdam, a Main Stage slot at this years Reading and Leeds festival and the free Eclectica Festival in St Helens on Aug 11th are set to take LMT to a storming end to 2007. The brand new version of single 'European Lover' is set to be released on August 27th followed by a re-release of the album 'About What you Know' a week later.
