 ANN ARBOR, MI. (Top40 Charts/ Borders PR) - Who: Dr. Michael Eric Dyson has been named by "Ebony" as one of the 100 Most Influential African Americans. He is the author of 14 books including "Come Hell or High Water" and his latest, "Know What I Mean?" Dyson is a professor at Georgetown University, where he teaches Theology, English and African American Studies. Dubbed "the Hip-Hop Intellectual" by critics and fans for his pioneering explorations of rap music in the academy and beyond, Dyson is uniquely situated to probe the most compelling and controversial dimensions of hip-hop culture. Surrounded by music since she was a small child, Long Island bred songwriter, singer and composer Chrisette Michele has been blessed with an old soul and a deep appreciation for the harmonic foundations that includes gospel and jazz.
