WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Ticketmaster) - The Police, whose current concert tour kicked off in May with North American performances scheduled though November of this year, was the nation's "Most Requested Event" in the first half of 2007 according to a mid-year report by Ticketmaster, the world's leading ticketing company. The Police topped the mid-year chart, ranked by online page views, information requests, and ticket sales during the first half of the year, followed by Disney on Ice at No 2 and Wicked at No 3 following the Wicked's run at the top of the chart for the past two quarters.

Further mid-year event rankings include The Police and Kenny Chesney as the top "Most Requested Concerts" followed by Dave Matthews Band and Jimmy Buffett ranking at No 3 and No 4 respectively. Wicked also continued as the No 1 "Most Requested Arts and Theatre Event." Monster Jam and WWE were Ticketmaster's "Most Requested Sporting Events." And Disney On Ice, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Sesame Street Live were America's "Most Requested Family Attractions."

"The Police tour has been a tremendous draw since the tour launched this May," said Ticketmaster President, Sean Moriarty. "Seeing the Police in concert or taking the family to Monster Jam or a Disney on Ice show are just a few samplings of the many exciting events taking place all across the country this summer. Our complimentary music program with iTunes is also in full swing as concert-goers enjoy receiving music samplers and digital tracks with the purchase of concert tickets on Ticketmaster.com."
