TORONTO, Canada (Top40 Charts/ www.souljazzorchestra.com) - The Souljazz Orchestra continues to build momentum from the success of their 2006 album Freedom No Go Die, which featured the hit track 'Mista President' reaching Top 10 status on the 2006 BBC
Radio One Worldwide Awards, and landed the band on the cover of Toronto's Now Magazine in February '07 for the album re-release on independent label Do Right Records. As radio airplay continues to grow around the world – from London to Johannesberg, Paris to Mexico - The Souljazz Orchestra is poised to be one of the first bands to emerge from Ottawa's scene to reach massive worldwide audiences.
The Souljazz Orchestra will play many of the finest music festivals in Eastern Canada, will venture out to the Calgary Afrikadey Festival in August, and will take the stage at each of Ottawa's three major music festivals this summer: Ottawa Bluesfest, Ottawa Folkfest, and the Ottawa Jazz Festival on Canada Day.
