Phoenix, AZ. (Top40 Charts/ AIG Music Worldwide) - It's been approximately six years since Urban R&B artist Siraaj led his group to victory on stage at the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY. Siraaj's frenzy evoking solo removed all doubt and silenced any and all talk of his lack of vocal prowess and talent. Before all of the cheers, the interviews and phone calls from label A&R began to subside, the dream had become a nightmare. A few weeks after his return home to Jackson, MS, Siraaj's friend and manager had been shot five times by a man that had accused him of having an affair with his ex-wife.

Although he survived the incident, he was confined to a wheelchair and had suffered slight brain damage. Siraaj's road to success had taken a detour and was showing no signs of getting back on track. Siraaj had been pursuing a career in music for quite some time and was determined not to let any obstacles keep him from seeing his dreams materialize. Siraaj had worked with many producers on different projects but was never able to produce a project that he felt had the edge to fit his style and personality.

"I'm a young man that lives an urban lifestyle but I'm a bit more complex than that" says Siraaj. "I am a mixture of everything I've experienced in my life."

Siraaj is a virtual bomb of talent waiting to explode on the world of music. Siraaj is not just another artist/songwriter/producer fighting for media attention. His years as a music major at Chicago State University gave him the credibility he needs to set him apart in a world saturated with hit maker hopefuls. "My time at Chi State was amazing. I had instructors who trained me in everything from opera to jazz." he said. Siraaj has managed to muster all of his experiences and ability into a new self produced CD project entitled "Life, Luxury & Loss" which has been released with Destined Muzik.

"The title of the CD speaks for itself. It is about life as I know it and I am sharing that with the people I love, my fans," he said. "Life, Luxury and Loss" is the most versatile and aurally pleasing Urban R&B CD released by an independent in years. Siraaj is an amazing talent and we look forward to hearing more from him in years to come.
