LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Tu Ciudad PR) - Tu Ciudad, the English-language guide to Latino L.A., celebrates its second anniversary with a twist to its popular "Best of Latino L.A." June issue: Based on an online poll, our readers have chosen the winners. From El Carmen (Best Tequila Bar) in West Hollywood to Bar Celona (Best Tapas) in Pasadena, our readers voted in overwhelming numbers for the best of Latino culture and personalities in Los Angeles.
Recipients include Nomar Garciaparra (Best Athlete), Los Lobos (Best Band), KTLA's Carlos Amezcua and Lynette Romero (Best Male Anchor/Best Female Reporter), Power 106's "Luscious" Liz Hernandez (Best Female DJ) and Big Syphe and Eric D-Lux (Best Male DJ), Sabor y Cultura Cafe (Best Coffee Shop), the Mayan (Best Nightlife Spot), and more. The issue also includes personal picks from celebrities, including Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Eduardo Xol (Extreme Makeover Home Edition), and author Yxta Maya Murray.

Also in the June issue:
- EL CENTRO. An eclectic mix of trends, tidbits, and personalities. Helpful hints are offered to L.A. transplant David Beckham; and actress Laura Harring (Nancy Drew) shares what she loves about the city in "Star Maps."
- cStyle. Take a peek at Colin Robertson's newly launched shoe collection. Also, makeup artist Geoffrey Rodriguez encourages women to embrace color.
- Culturistas. A South Gate quartet of young Latinos, the Tender Box, takes its musical cues from the British pop scene. In "Next Up," Gina Ravera (ER, The Closer) finds time to act in two shows and launch a nonprofit.
- The feature article Dead of Night by Dennis Romero recounts the frightening summer of 1985, when the notorious Richard Ramirez, aka the Night Stalker, went on a terrifying murder spree.
- Ciudad Eats. Carolynn Carreno visits several of the Southland's favorite spots for fish tacos.
