MEMPHIS, TN. (Top40 Charts/ LucKi Entertainment) - Extraordinary bluesman Melvin Taylor placed second in the Central Illinois Blues Challenge (CIBC) and will be competing in the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, TN the end of January. www.blues.org/ibc/

Taylor was unfortunately penalized over 30 pts when his two band members failed to arrive to perform at show time and substitutions were made. Otherwise Melvin would have placed first in the competition. Melvin will be representing the Peoria Blues Society at the Memphis event.

On June 8/9 Melvin Taylor will be performing two shows in Santiago, Chile. And no doubt celebrating his win at the CIBC this past Sunday evening!
