The Village Voice Announces Initial Band Lineup for the 7th Annual Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL, July 21 at Coney Island

The Village Voice Siren Festival is a free all-day music event open to all ages, featuring live international, national and local bands, as well as DJs performing on two outdoor stages at historic Coney Island. Now in its seventh year, the Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL has solidified its status as one of the top leading outdoor music festival by drawing over 100,000 music fans in each of its last four years.

Scheduled performers include NEW YORK DOLLS; WE ARE SCIENTISTS; MATT AND KIM; THE BLACK LIPS; DR. DOG; NOISETTES; LAVENDER DIAMOND; THE DETROIT COBRAS; ELVIS PERKINS; THE TWILIGHT SAD and many others still to be announced!

The showcase of both indie-rock veterans as well as emerging artists has led The New York Times to call Siren Fest 'an instant hit,' and 'a crucial barometer for up-to-the-minute alternative rock.'
