IRVINGTON, N.J. (Top40 Charts/ Christian Pentecostal Church of Christ) - Christian Pentecostal Church of Christ will present an Anniversary Praise Party at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, honoring its Senior Pastor, Elder Jerry Smith, and featuring gospel music legends Pastor
Marvin Sapp and Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, and author Deborah Smith. The event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The event marks Pastor Smith's one-year anniversary at the church. Pastor Smith assumed leadership responsibilities of the church after the retirement of Bishop Willie L. Smith, his father and the church's founding pastor.
"This past year has been a time of tremendous growth and impact in our community, so I'm thrilled to be part of an event that gives our friends and neighbors a chance to stop by and get to know us," said Pastor Smith.
Sapp will also serve as master of ceremonies for the Praise Party. The event will feature musical performances from Sapp and Clark-Cole, of the Clark Sisters, as well as praise and worship with the church choir. Visiting pastors are scheduled to give testimonial messages, and published author Deborah Smith will be on-hand for a book signing.
