New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Atomic Brother Recordings)-Atomic Brother is leveraging new media technology and the growing popularity of podcasting to get value added content directly to their fans, and to connect with a new audience. "Using this new media technology gives bands a new avenue to distribute and promote themselves while keeping control within the band," says Michael J. Carrasquillo, filmmaker and Atomic Brother drummer. As an unsigned band Atomic Brother enjoys a level of freedom and control that most of their major label counterparts do not. The podshow is uncensored and unfiltered by marketing departments and record company executives. "We're very excited about the new podshow" says S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo, Atomic Brother bass player and founder. "We've had video content on our site for a long time, but with Wastin' Time we're having fun telling our story the way we want. It isn't just promotional clips." The band is currently producing and editing the podshow themselves with Carrasquillo at the helm. There are currently two episodes available at the Wastin' Time With Atomic Brother website (https://atomicbrother.com/wastin) and at iTunes (www.itunes.com) with more episodes in development. The show is available free for fans and viewers to load into their iPod or other video compatible MP3 players, to watch where they want, when they want. The first episode of Wastin Time With Atomic Brother takes viewers to the Atomic Brother show at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn, NY in March. Fans and viewers will get to see a live performance of the song "Employee of the Month" plus a glimpse into the personal, fun side of the band while they hang out having fun at the club with fans and friends. The second episode goes behind the scenes at band rehearsal preparing for a show at Crash Mansion in NYC with a live performance of the song "Not My Fault" and hang out with the band having fun in the studio.
