Washington, DC. (Top40 Charts/ Phat Cats Entertainment LLC) - "E" previews his new sounds at a special performance party at the Avenue Nightclub, Washington DC on March 28.
The new release is a mixtape version of his forthcoming debut album, The Prelude. With a unique style all of his own, mature and sexy, "E" is fulfilling his incredible potential. While there is definitely a raunchy groove to his music, it will appeal to teenagers and adults alike, thanks to smooth-as-silk hooks and melodies that just make you want to take to the dance floor.
Tracks such as 'Could I', 'Down 4 Hers' and 'Like That', are examples of "E" utilizing production from some of his favorite producers, while other tracks are his own original take on some of the most popular tracks around today. Not that there isn't any of his own material – there's plenty of that, and pretty fine it is too.
He says of the Mixtape project: "I'm very proud to be able to present this offering to my fans, giving them a taste of what's to come when the official debut comes out.
"I feel that The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape will appeal to everyone who's a fan of great music and lyrics. I'm passionate about connecting with my audience whether it's recording or performing – the audience is there to be entertained on every level."
"E" cites a diverse array of influences on his new album. Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Mint Condition, D'Angelo, R.Kelly, Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill are all inspirations for his R&B vocal style, Hip-Hop cool and Rockstar swagger.
A native of West Philadelphia, "E" has won awards at the Urban Independent Music Awards two years running, winning DJ of the Year in 2004, and R&B Artist of the Year in 2005. Current hits 'Like That' and 'Could I' are on rotation on JAM FM, Germany's premier urban radio station, and 'Like That' is receiving play on the UK internet radio station Vogue FM.
He knew his future lay in music when he first saw a video of Michael Jackson with the Jackson Five when he was a child. His aunt and mother then did everything possible for him, such as buying instruments, driving to band rehearsals, signing him up to school choruses, and ceaselessly encouraging his precocious gift.
Their hopes for him have been realized, as "E" is now a relentless talent: a songwriter and producer igniting the music industry.
The Prelude Chronicles Mixtape is a tantalizing glimpse of The Prelude – both works of astonishing originality.
The R&B Hip-Hop Rockstar Official Mixtape Concert and Afterparty takes place at The Avenue on March 28, and also features other rising stars from the DC area. More information can be found at www.rnbhiphoprockstar.com.
