DETROIT, MI. (Top40 Charts/ Olympia Entertainment) - The City of Detroit proved yet again that it is home to the greatest rock and roll audiences in the world when Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band ended their 50-city tour Saturday, March 17. In front of a lively sold out crowd, Seger enjoyed a return to both his hometown and Cobo Arena. "It was another historic performance at the legendary Cobo Arena," said Bill Lee, Olympia Entertainment's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

"Live Bullet," the album largely responsible for making Seger a nationally known rock star, was recorded on September 4 & 5, 1975 at Cobo Arena. In honor of the famous recording and Seger's illustrious career, Olympia Entertainment, the facility management company for Cobo Arena, renamed the star dressing room the "Live Bullet" room. Olympia Entertainment officials were on hand Saturday night to present Seger with gifts and a plaque to commemorate the momentous occasion.

The tour closing concert on Saturday, March 17 capped off a week in which Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band played three downtown Detroit shows at two Olympia Entertainment venues. This included another show at Cobo Arena on March 15 and a sold out performance at Joe Louis Arena on March 13, which proved to be historic as Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band had not played there since closing their 86-87 tour with a seven show sold out run.

Other notable live albums recorded at the legendary Cobo Arena, include The Doors, "Live in Detroit" (1970), Kiss, "Alive" (1975), J. Geils Band, "Blow Your Face Out" (1975), The Tragically Hip, "Live Between Us" (1996), as well as tracks from Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's "Nine Tonight" (1980).
