Nashville,TN. (Top40 Charts/ Broken Bow Records) - Craig Morgan left a room full of executives waiting this morning as he reluctantly answered a call to silence his incessantly ringing cell phone. It turned out to be worth the annoyance, as he learned that he had received his second consecutive New Male Vocalist of the Year nomination from the Academy of Country Music. The awards will be handed out May 15th in Las Vegas.

"I was sitting here in a meeting about a new endorsement deal and my cell phone kept ringing and ringing," laughed Morgan. "I finally figured I'd better see what was up, and stepped out to take the call. I was surprised and honored to be nominated by the Academy again this year!"

Morgan released his fourth CD, Little Bit Of Life, on Broken Bow Records late last year. The new album, widely heralded by both the press and the fans as his best work yet, is Morgan's first new music since his breakthrough success in 2005, when he notched back-to-back No 1 hits from My Kind of Livin'. "That's What I Love About Sunday," country music's most played song of 2005, spent 5 weeks in the No 1 position atop the country chart and has been played on the radio more than 200,000 times, and its follow up, "Redneck Yacht Club" also hit No 1, reaching a weekly radio audience of over 35 million listeners. Just last week Morgan celebrated the Gold sales success of the CD with a beyond-capacity party in Nashville.

One of country's most steadfast road warriors, Morgan plays over 200 live shows a year. He played shows in 34 states and Canada last year, and has toured with Keith Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Brad Paisley, and Trace Adkins, among others. He is currently on the road with Adkins on the "Dangerous Man" tour. Morgan has made more than 170 appearances on the legendary stage of the Grand Ole Opry.
