Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Emerson Drive Official Website) - Fresh out of a very successful Country Radio Seminar week in Nashville, the guys of Emerson Drive have recently been recognized once again by the Academy of Country Music. At a press conference this morning at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, TN Emerson Drive was nominated in the ACM category of Top Vocal Group. "We are all back out on the road in Canada finishing up our tour here and we received a phone call this morning while we were all still sleeping on the bus. Our tour manager woke us up to tell about the nomination. What a great wake up call!! It feels wonderful to have this recognition from our peers," says Brad Mates, lead vocalist of Emerson Drive. "We are so happy and we are so excited about this nomination. We have worked very hard the past few years and didn't give up when our deal with DreamWorks went away. This is a great reward," says David Pichette, fiddle player for Emerson Drive. Emerson Drive took home the award for ACM Top New Vocal Group or Duo in 2002. Since then, the band has made it through a dissolved record label, hundreds of dates per year on the road and now find their home on Midas Records Nashville with their fastest moving single at radio to date, the current hit single, "Moments."
