 NEW YORK,NY.(DaSBro Enterprise)-Popular Japanese rock singer MANAMI is profiled in the cover story of the March issue of the prestigious Japanese music magazine ?Debut Now.? In this issue, MANAMI talks about her career to-date, and her plans for 2007 and beyond. ?Debut Now? is free of charge, and is available in music clubs and record stores throughout the Greater Tokyo Area. In September 2006, rock girl MANAMI (?angel? in Japanese) released her debut CD, ?45-Lucky Girl? on the Mix record label. She regularly performs in venues around Tokyo, has acted in an independent film (?Last Stop For Paul?) and has appeared on American television network G4?s ?Attack Of The Show!? after being selected as a MySpace ?Girl Of The Week?. In 2005, a bass player introduced MANAMI to a guitarist named Taizo, a record producer and the owner of the Mix record label. MANAMI gave Taizo a demo, and he was impressed. Taizo immediately signed her to a record contract and management contract. MANAMI and Taizo collaborated for 15 months writing new songs for the ?MANAMI Project.? The result was MANAMI?s rocking debut CD ?45-Lucky Girl.? The album, released in September 2006, contains 12 original tunes co-written by MANAMI and Taizo. All the songs on ?45-Lucky Girl? are in English, and reflect MANAMI?s dreams and ambitions, as well as love lost and found. Songs from ?45-Lucky Girl? have made their way around the globe. The title track has been featured as the ending theme song on the ?Mr. Partner? radio program every Saturday morning on Tokyo?s FM-Fuji. MANAMI has also been profiled in several other Japanese magazines. MANAMI regularly performs in venues in and around Tokyo, has acted in an independent film, and has appeared on American television (after being selected as a MySpace ?Girl Of The Week?).
