LOS ANGELES,CA. (Top40 Charts/Live Nation) - The Police tour continued its sales streak this weekend with additional sell-outs in Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, St. Paul and Dallas - where sales were so strong that a 2nd show date was announced and sold out. Tickets in Hartford, Hershey, Edmonton and Miami are also selling quickly.

In North America, following last weekends' sell out of the Dodgers Stadium performance, a new Los Angeles show has been confirmed June 20th at Staples Center. Additional tour dates have also been confirmed in Houston, Las Vegas, New Orleans, St. Louis and Tampa. Tickets for all six performances will go on sale this weekend.

This morning, The Police also confirmed that the European tour will begin August 29th in Stockholm at the Arena. As with the North American tour, The Police will visit stadiums and arenas throughout the UK and Europe with additional dates announced in Birmingham, London, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Munich, Barcelona, Paris, Mannheim, Dusseldorf, Manchester & Cardiff.

Special guest Fiction Plane will join The Police for the North American portion of the tour. Additional artists confirmed for the stadium shows include special guest Foo Fighters at the LA Dodger Stadium performance on June 23rd, and Maroon 5 appearing at Miami's Dolphin Stadium event.

The North American tour is presented by Best Buy, the leading consumer electronics retailer with nearly 1,000 retail locations in the United States and Canada.
