NEW YORK (Official Fans Website) - The official Bruce Springsteen website (brucespringsteen.net) has posted the album cover art for The Rising, due in stores July 30. The cover shows the title placed vertically in large block yellow-gold letters, with Springsteen's name in white, positioned horizontally between the two words. Behind the title and name is a black-and-white shot of a blurry, moving Springsteen in front of a building of brick and stone. The Rising is Springsteen's first full-length studio release with the entire E Street Band since 1984's Born In The U.S.A. Produced by Brendan O'Brien, the album was recorded this year at Southern Tracks Recording in Atlanta. The new release features 15 tracks, including the E Street Band version of "My City Of Ruins," which Springsteen performed on just acoustic guitar and harmonica, accompanied by wife Patty Scialfa, "Little Steven" Van Zandt, and Clarence Clemons last year on September 24, for the live worldwide broadcast of America: A Tribute To Heroes. The only other song that has been performed live by Springsteen is "Further On (Up The Road)," which Springsteen performed on some of the last dates of his 2000 tour, including his stand at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
