NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has released a statement saying that he is not the cause of his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez's recent marriage separation.

Lopez and dancer Cris Judd announced late last week that they have parted ways, and now Combs insists that he wasn't the cause of any marital friction, tabloid rumors to the contrary.

"Mr. Combs and Ms. Lopez are not together," reads a statement from Combs's public-relations handler Nathalie Moar. "However, he wishes her well during this difficult time."

Judd and Lopez married last September, just months after the end of a lengthy courtship between Combs and Lopez.
