Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Australia) - Everybody get Random!!! People get primed, the biggest midget in the game, the potty mouth Jay Z protégé, South London's princess of grime Lady Sovereign, is coming to Australia for the very first time in March, Playing shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney. Hot on the heels of her new single 'Love Me Or Hate Me' the Sov is heading to Oz with full live band, set to reinforce the old saying that good things come in small packages, and so does poison...

An MC, a lyricist, a producer, the alternative microphone vandal with lyrics that hit like left and right hooks, subject matter dashing between flirtations with McDonalds, smoking hash and swigging Pernod. With a moniker that reflects her love of cheap cigarettes and pikey jewellery, Lady Sovereign is a random, cheeky, outspoken teen that no one in their right mind would want living next door.

Sov's early singles Ch Ching, Hoodie and Random earned her a cult following amongst the UK grime circuit and beat junkies around the world, all the while playing shows from Brixton basements to supporting Basement Jaxx. Eventually the noise she was making in her homeland crossed the Atlantic to one Jay Z, who flipped on a dime and signed her to Def Jam, and so Lady Sovereign had arrived.

Her virgin voyage in the album format, Public Warning, is now doing the business around the world, with her sound and schtick landing her somewhere between Lil Kim and Lily Allen, Princess Superstar and a precociously bratty female Mike Skinner. Public Warning is available now in Australia.

Lady Sovereign will be supported around the country by The Bumblebeez, an Australian act of thrillingly schizophrenic proportions, with a live set that veers from the transcendent to the catastrophic, but always a spectacle.
