Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Rogers & Cowan) - Grammy-nominated CCM rocker Sarah Kelly recently met up with guitar legend Slash at his Hollywood's RockWalk induction ceremony, also attended by producer Mike Clink (Appetite For Destruction). It proved to be a reunion of sorts for Kelly, who recruited noted producer Clink to oversee her Grammy-nominated sophomore release - Where The Past Meets Today. Clink in turn, introduced Slash to Kelly's music - and he immediately jumped onboard to record two amazing guitar solos on the project including "Still Breathing" and "Out Of Reach." Slash comments: "I was blown away by how much emotion and balls her voice had and how expressive it was…She has a sincerely pure presence in her voice."

Kelly is nominated in the "Best Rock or Rap Gospel" category for Where The Past Meets Today, which also features performances by Chris Chaney (Panic Channel, Jane's Addiction) and Nick Lashley (Alanis Morissette). Although the project features the work of music industry veterans often associated with hard rock and metal, Kelly's project doesn't scream metal. It is a soulful, bluesy and raw work documenting her process of triumph over adversity. She was previously Grammy-nominated for her 2004 debut album Take Me Away, making Kelly 2 - for - 2.

Kelly is already positioned for major presence at SXSW, performing with Amoeba Records' artist Brandi Shearer and Quincy Coleman at a private-only event at the home of Polly Parsons (daughter of late alt/country icon Gram Parsons). She is also scheduled to perform with Shearer at the Heidi's Night of Beauty event at Moonshine. Kelly first worked with Parsons as a special closing night performer on the popular, multimedia, theatrical hit "Taking The Jesus Pill," which enjoyed an extended run at LA's King King.

Slash was inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk in recognition of his significant and innovative contribution to the musical artform. His handprints and signature will reside alongside such equally accomplished musicians and innovators as Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, Johnny Cash, George Clinton & P Funk, James Brown, Miles Davis, Lou Reed, Sonic Youth, The Cure and Brian Wilson among others. The 49th Annual Grammy Awards telecast takes place on Sunday, February 11 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, airing on CBS from 8:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m ET/PT.
