LOS ANGELES (Snoop Dogg Fans Website) - Snoop Dogg entered a plea of no contest to marijuana-possession charges, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay a fine of $250 plus court costs in Oberlin Municipal Court on Tuesday (May 28). However, the jail time was suspended and will remain that way as long as the rapper can stay out of trouble for the next two years. Snoop Dogg was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop for speeding on Interstate 90 in Amherst, Ohio, on October 17, 2001. Highway patrol troopers stopped two tour buses and found Snoop Dogg on one in which the smell of burnt marijuana was prevalent. The police's drug-sniffing dogs found 200 grams of marijuana in the cargo hold of the bus. In related news, Snoop Dogg is currently working on his MCA Records debut. The still-untitled set is tentatively scheduled for a fall release and will include the production of Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, Battlecat, Alchemist, Jellyroll, Fredwreck, and Timbaland. Some of the planned guests for the set include Eminem, Bad Azz, Xzibit, Daz, and Tha Eastsidaz.
