LOS ANGELES, CA (Eileen Koch & Company) - With today's caliber of musical talent, breaking into the highly competitive music industry seems to be no simple feat, every up and coming artist waiting for a moment of truth to catapult them into stardom - a lucky break.

For Ostrich Head, their stroke of genius came in the form of a YouTube video. Well-deserved winners in the Most Creative category on YouTube's Underground contest for their music video "Freak Show Carnival," this Los Angeles hip-hop ensemble has hit the ground running. With the spotlight shining directly on Ostrich Head, the band is scheduled to perform a blazing set at The Palmer Room in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 14. Their new album, "Shoot the Money," will simultaneously be released and fans can expect no less than a taste of hip-hop originality.

Combining the fierce talent of MC's Loreaxe, Calmentz, and Nowonder with the soothing voice of Lyndsay Haldorson, Ostrich Head never ceases to deliver. With DJs Mes-E-Recspin and Ricketts the Wax Buckler spinning in the background, fans eagerly anticipate a vibrant, scorching, slice of hip-hop mastery.

With an appearance on "Good Morning America" and their songs showcased on video games such as "Tiger Woods PGA Golf 2004," Ostrich Head is considered one of the Top 100 Unsigned Bands of 2005 and 2006 (according to Music Connection Magazine).

An established group since 1997, Ostrich Head has gathered a following from hip-hop's most fervent fans. Fusing "neck-breaking beats" with soulful harmonies, they have remained loyal to the underground hip-hop community, bursting onto the scene with creative lyrics and unconventional beats. Playing in L.A. clubs such as the House of Blues, The Knitting Factory and The Viper Room alongside renowned artists including Lyrics Born, Lupe Fiasco, Old Dirty Bastard and Digital Underground, Ostrich Head has proven to be a viable player in the highly exclusive hip-hop alumni.
