NEW YORK (Zomba Label Group) - Nominations for the 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced today with Zomba Label Group artists capturing 18 GRAMMY nominations.

The variety of musical and artistic talent encompassed by the Zomba Label Group was made obvious today by nominations in fields ranging from Pop, Dance and R&B to Gospel, Hard Rock and Comedy.

2X GRAMMY winner Justin Timberlake garnered 4 nominations including: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for his critically acclaimed and nearly 4 million worldwide selling album, FutureSex/LoveSounds; Best Dance Recording for "SexyBack" featuring Timbaland and a nomination in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category for "My Love" featuring T.I.

Jive artist and newcomer Chris Brown caps off an incredible year and captures 2 nominations for Best New Artist and Best Contemporary R&B Album for his eponymous 2X platinum debut.

LaFace recording artists P!nk and OutKast both get 1 and 2 nods apiece respectively. 2X GRAMMY winner P!nk collects one for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Stupid Girls" from her latest release I'm Not Dead. 6X GRAMMY winners OutKast earns two nominations for Best Urban/Alternative Performance for "Idlewild Blue (Don't Chu Worry 'Bout Me)" from their Idlewild soundtrack and Best Rap Performance by Duo or Group for "Mighty 'O'."

Volcano artist and 2X GRAMMY winner Tool caps off a year of sold out concerts in support of their platinum album 10,000 Days by capturing 2 nominations in the Best Hard Rock Performance category for "Vicarious" and Best Recording Package for 10,000 Days (Adam Jones, art director).

Way Moby/Volcano recording artist and 3X GRAMMY winner Weird Al Yankovic reins in 2 nominations for Best Comedy Album and Best Surround Sound album both for his 12th studio album release "Straight Outta Lynwood."

In the Gospel Field, GospoCentric Records attained 3 nominations. Kirk Franklin, a 3X GRAMMY, scored two in the Best Contemporary R&B/Gospel Album category for "Hero" and Best Gospel Song for "Imagine Me" and Byron Cage receives one in the Best Traditional Gospel album for "An Invitation To Worship." Verity received one nomination in the Best Gospel Performance category for "Victory," a track from The Gospel Soundtrack, sung by Yolanda Adams.

Upcoming Zomba Label Group releases include albums by Britney Spears, Usher, R. Kelly, JC Chasez, Chris Brown, Joe, Papoose, Samantha Jade and Natasha. The 49th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS, February 11, 2007, from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
