(www.berniegrundmanmastering.com) - Scoring composer Thomas Newman chose Bernie Grundman to master the Varese Sarabande soundtrack album of his score for 'The Good German,' directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, and Tobey Maguire. Taking place in post-war Berlin, the story follows an American journalist who is lured into a murder mystery while searching for his former mistress.

In session at Bernie Grundman Mastering were scoring mixer Tommy Vicari, film composer Thomas Newman, and mastering engineer Bernie Grundman.

Scoring composer Thomas Newman's previous credits include 'Cinderella Man,' 'National Treasure,' 'Finding Nemo,' 'Road to Perdition,' 'American Beauty,' 'Scent of a Woman,' and 18 episodes of the television series 'Six Feet Under.' 'The Good German' will be released in New York, LA, and Toronto on December 15, followed by nationwide release on December 22.
