LOS ANGELES, CA (West Coast Boxing Entertainment) - WHAT: West Coast Boxing Entertainment presents "Ultimate Fight for Dignity and Justice" - A concert event that will help fund scholarships for African American and Latino students, and will also help support the continued work of the March 25th Coalition.

Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, founded in 1898 by Gaspar Vargas in Tecalitlan, Jalisco is considered the most important and influential group in the history of mariachi music, playing an integral role in the evolution of the genre. They have entertained countless heads of states throughout the world and were the first Mariachi to perform at the White House. Mariachi Vargas is the only mariachi that's been allowed to perform at the Pyramids of Egypt.

WHEN: Sunday, December 3, 2006, 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. - Concert Event with VIP Reception to follow.
The concert event includes performances by Mariachi Internacional Tapatio, Mariachi Imperial de Mexico, Jose Carlos Burgos and Ramon Garcia, semi-finalist from the hit show Objetivo Fama, and Timothy Pollard, "El Charro Negro." Special honorees are: Gloria Romero, Senate Majority Leader; Monica Lozano, Publisher of La Opinion; and Familia Rodriguez for their lifetime contribution to social struggles. Special guests include: Jesus Soto Karas, WBC Continental Champion; Giovani Segura, IBA Flyweight Champion; Isidro "chino" Garcia, Previous World Champion; and Father Luis Nieto. The Master of Ceremonies for the event is Jackeline Cacho, national TV newsanchor.
The VIP Reception will feature Cesar Franco's Latin Band, Brazilian samba dancers, magicians, and celebrities including actor Enrique Castillo and former world champion, the crown prince of boxing Jorge "Maromeo" Paez. The reception also includes food, drinks, and a hosted bar.
