LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Seminal guitar rock outfit Living Colour has reunited and begun lining up a handful of U.S. tour dates, kicking off Aug. 1 in Old Bridge, N.J., according to the Black Rock Coalition, a non-profit agency founded by Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid. Living Colour reunited last Dec. for a surprise New York show and embarked on a sold-out West Coast jaunt. Reid disbanded the group in 1995 to pursue other projects. There has been no official word on whether Living Colour will record a new album. As previously reported, Living Colour bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Will Calhoun, along with P-Funk keyboardist Bernie Worrell and Bad Brains guitarist Dr. Know, are recording an album with rapper Mos Def under the name Jack Johnson. No release date has been firmed up for the set. The band's 1988 debut, "Vivid," featuring the hit "Cult of Personality," is the group's most successful, having been certified double platinum.
