Sydney, AU. (EMI MUSIC Australia) -- Go - The Very Best of Moby will be released on 11 November. The Best Of will be available in 3 versions, standard CD, DVD and a DELUXE CD/DVD.
The standard CD compiles 15 songs from Moby�s unique back catalogue, including seminal tracks from the multi-million and multi-platinum selling albums Play, 18 and Hotel. Fans who already own these titles are able to, simply by inserting the CD into their computer, access the videos made for each of these albums.
The standard CD also features Opendisc technology allowing buyers exclusive access to six previously unreleased, free downloads as well as a photo gallery and videos all introduced with a special greeting from Moby.
Over the course of his illustrious career Moby has chosen to work with some of the world�s top video directors. Go - The Very Best of Moby DVD offers selections spanning the breadth of Moby�s video output, directed by an array of international film and video heavyweights, including such luminaries as Roman Coppola, Joseph Kahn, David LaChapelle , Mike Mills, Jonas Akerlund, and Evan Bernard.
Among the highlights on the DVD are three award winning videos “Natural Blues”, “Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?” and “We Are All Made of Stars”. “Natural Blues”, directed by David LaChapelle and featuring Hollywood actress Christina Ricci, won MTV�s best video award in 2000. `�Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?”, directed by Susi Wilkinson, H. Laurence and P. Alcada, was awarded the German Cornet award in 2000 and “We Are All Made of Stars” directed by Joseph Kahn received the MTV award for best cinematography in 2002.
The DELUXE CD/DVD version contains the standard CD along with a bonus DVD. Titled GO: A Film About Moby the DVD is a short film directed by George Scott and produced by Martin R Smith and Nick De Grunwald. This documentary charts Moby�s rise to fame from his first ever DJ gig through to the present day. The footage includes intimate interviews with family and friends, Moby�s personal New York underground club guide, plus on-the-road tour footage shot by Moby in South America.
